London in 2 days

Sightseeing in London is an awesome adventure. Doing London in two days is a daunting task. With some careful planning and very little sleep you can see a lot of things in your two days there. Prioritizing and grouping by locations are the keys to success.

You may want to start out with a tour group to see the major attractions. Things like St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben and The Tower of London. These tours can really provide you with the history of London and the significance of what you are seeing. After a day of sightseeing spend your afternoon in one of London’s famous parks. Walking along the banks of the Thames is a relaxing way to end a busy day. You will also be able to observe the real people of London as they enjoy the serenity of the park system. It is always fun to see how the real people in a city live and play.

A great early morning or afternoon outlet would be to visit Regent or Hyde Park. They are both filled with activities. Regents has a cool lake in it. Hyde Park is a hub for state and official ceremonies. Both offer the opportunity to see artists and musicians wondering throughout. Vendors offer traditional English treats to eat such as traditional scones. You may wish to bring along a picnic for a true afternoon outing.

Going to the West End to take in a theater production is a must. You will love the small historical theaters that provide world class entertainments. You can see a musical, play or other stage production. Agatha Christie’s A Mousetrap has been playing since 1952. If you prefer more modern entertainment go to the London Bridge and check out a film at the IMAX.

If you are treated to one of London’s rainy days do not despair. There are still plenty of things to do. Take in a museum. London has a wealth of history and science museum. They feature fascinating and extensive collections. You can spend a whole day in just one museum. You could also do some shopping in along Regent Street one of London’s oldest and most recognizable shopping Mecca’s.

The Museum of London has the world’s largest urban history exhibit. It starts with artifacts from the prehistoric period and goes through modern day. The London Museum has art and artifacts and is free to the public. Overall there are over two hundred museums in London to choose from. There is sure to be something here for everyone.
